‘’The quest for quality education is the only reason why you find yourself at Biaka University Institute of Buea. Do not be distracted, stay focused, respectful and above all, behave like the students you are for maximum achievement of your goals’’. This summarizes words of caution by the Vice Chancellor of BUIB Dr. Mrs. Francisca Hongla Biaka as she welcomed new students during the BUIB 2022-2023 general orientation ceremony  organized to keep students abreast with the operations and amenities offered by  the different departments of the University. Assembled in the halls of classroom block, these over 1,400students were briefed on the expectations, the does and the don’ts of the university as well as the structure of the institution just to mention these few.

Addressing students at the event, the DVC in Charge of Academic Affairs, Research and cooperation Prof. Fonkeng  George congratulated the students for choosing Biaka  University  not as the first choice but as the best choice. He further reminded these students that life tastes better only with education and thus called on them to be regular in class and to always work towards achieving nothing but the best.

In addition, Prof. Fonkeng called on students to emulate their predecessors who have recorded brilliant results in the past years and given the university the rank as best Private Higher Education Institution at the 2022 HND examination in Cameroon by the Ministry of Higher Education.

Furthermore, students were   sensitized on the course registration process, the flow path for school fee payments and other financial transactions, facilities offered at the library and the teaching hospital among others.

Students were further called upon to maintain good interpersonal relationship with their fellow students as well as with the staff so that they can better enjoy their stay as students of the Institution which has the audacity to be different.

The orientation exercise shall continue in the days ahead  at the level of the different schools.

These over 1,400 students shall be received officially by the University come Thursday 10^th November 2022 during the matriculation ceremony.

As the race begins for the 2022-2023 school year, academic and administrative staff of Biaka University Institute of Buea Convened this 2nd day of November 2022 in classroom Block 3 for the yearly congregation of the institution. The Congregation  aimed at exposing the vision and expectations of this academic year while appraising the output of the just ended school year.

Speaking on behalf of the Vice Chancellor Dr. Mrs. Francisca Hongla Biaka, the DVC in charge of Academic Affairs, Research and Cooperation Prof. Fonkeng George enumerated key achievements by the Institution which include but are not limited to the ranking of BUIB as best Institution at the 2022 HND examination, the improvement in infrastructure to host the rising number of students and the birth of two new schools – the school of Engineering and Technology and the School of Agricultural Sciences.

He further commended the efforts of all staff both part time and full time for bringing the University to such level of excellence and further reminded them of the mission of BUIB which seeks to empower individuals to achieve maximum capacity through the provision of quality education at all levels.  This he noted remains the goal of the University this academic year 2022-2023.

In the area of Academic Affairs, Research and Cooperation, Prof Fonkeng George reiterated the need for quality teaching that recognizes diversity while providing a holistic approach in passing on knowledge.

On the part of the DVC in charge of Administration and Finance Mr. Finjap John while addressing employees, applauded them for the endless sacrifices made for the university to stay at the apex of fineness. He however cautioned all not to relent their efforts but to continue striving for the best. He used this forum to welcome on board newly recruited staff of the Institution to the one big family which strives for nothing short of quality.

The congregation was also an opportunity for other departments within the institution to keep all abreast with their activities for the smooth functioning of the new academic year. Responding to the call to remain best workers and provide standard training, employees on their part expressed gratitude to management for the overall developments within the institution which cannot be minimized.

Parents and friends of students at Biaka University Institute of Buea gathered this Thursday 27^th of October 2022 to witness one of the key academic activities of Master’s students in the School of Management Sciences as they complete their programme after two years of rigorous training.

This thesis defense by the third batch of students in the School of Management Sciences has been described as vital in the assessment process as it seeks to expose students to some of the realities they will find on the ground either as job creators or employees.

It has been joyful event to these students who during their presentations, exhibited total mastery and understanding of the subject matter as they provide recommendations in addressing specific problems.

According to Mr. Ntangsi Max- Consultant and acting Director of the School of Management Sciences, Such quality output by the students can only be explained by the young, vibrant, experienced and qualified lecturers who guaranteed just the best training for these students.

Similar academic exercise also runs in the School of Health Sciences whose students have exhibited nothing less than eminence after their training at BUIB.

Come November 11^th, these students and others from both the School of Management Sciences and the School of Health Sciences, shall flaunt in their robes in celebration of hard work during the 2022 graduation ceremony slated to take place on BUIB’s Campus

All hands are on deck as the fastest growing Private Higher Education Institution in the South West Region prepares to graduate hundreds of well trained and competent students come Friday November 11^th  2022. Biaka University Institute of Buea (BUIB) shall on this day celebrate hard work, excellence and uniqueness during the grand event which is expected to pull over 2,500 participants from within and out of the nation.

This landmark event shall witness the recognition of hard work via prize awards in cash and/or in kind to outstanding and meritorious students pulled from the different Schools and Programmes of BUIB

Seen as a symbol of change, progression and a moment to move onto new adventures, the students after public celebration have more to worry about in private as they transit to a new phase. This however may not be too much of a fear as these to be graduates have acquired the necessary skills for a smooth transition.

Scheduled to take place on the 10^th of November 2022- a day before the graduation ceremony, is the matriculation of over 900 new students who have chosen BUIB as their base to achieve academic excellence.

It should be noted that an ecumenical service has been slated for Wednesday November 9^th 2022    to thank God for the abundant blessing on the University.

Of course success is worth celebrating and BUIB shall do so come November 11^th 2022 as from 8.am.
