St Veronica Polyclinic also known as “Biaka Hospital” has seized the challenge of becoming the best home care service provider from July 1st this year. This pronouncement was made lately during a gathering of the management body of St Veronica Medical Centre (SVMC) and some external and internal experts of the complex. The new born baby is housed under the unit – Biaka Home Medical and Healthcare Service and has as part of its vision to meet emerging community demands within the health framework of the management of SVMC with the aim to provide amongst others, Comprehensive Care, Patient-Centered Care, Coordinated Care, Accessible and affordable Services, as well as Quality and Safety.
The Biaka Home Medical and Healthcare Service has as one of her priorities to increase the rate of patient’s survival by being readily available during the “Golden Hour” – one which medics refer to as that hour immediately following traumatic injury in which medical treatment to prevent irreversible internal damage and optimize the chance of survival is most effective.
It is no doubt that the St Veronica Polyclinic is apt for this venture given its strength in providing healthcare which includes but not limited to the availability of long term serving and experienced Medical staff – specialist doctors and nurses, equipped laboratories, available transport system just to mention a few.
This facility it should be noted will be available at this infancy stage, in three Regions of Cameroon: South West, North West, and Littoral Regions while it would extend to other Regions in the later days.
The Biaka Medical Home and Health Care Service operating under the leadership of Dr. Takang Jumbo would provide home treatment for an illness or injury to help patients get better, regain independence, and become as self-sufficient as possible.
