Board members of St Veronica Medical Centre gathered on Friday June 24th at the conference room of the complex to evaluate the execution of the budget which was approved for the period October 2021 to May 2022. Board members approved the budgetary execution and commended executors for meticulously performing their work.
During the meeting which brought together some twelve members of the Board, the chair Dr. Mrs. Francisca Hongla Biaka, expressed heartfelt gratitude to fellow members for their relentless efforts and contributions in supporting the mission of the complex at all times. She further informed the Board of the Home medical and health care service – a new unit under the St Veronica Polyclinic which aims to provide health care services to patients at home. This innovation within the complex is expected to kick start on the 1st of July 2022.
The session also witnessed the visit to the ongoing construction site by board members which entails the building of some 9 classrooms with a capacity to host over 900 students. This construction work is underway to arrest the increase in student population within the university and is expected to be completed before the start of the academic year 2022/2023.
The board of trustees of St Veronica Medical Centre it should be noted is a decision making body of the complex which meets at least twice yearly to oversee the smooth functioning of the Centre. The next meeting is slated before the start of the next academic year 2022/2023.
