The Biaka Group made a significant appearance at the Commonwealth Transnational Education (TNE) Forum 2026, today March 6, 2026, in Yaoundé. The high-level forum, organized in partnership with the British High Commission in Cameroon, brought together policymakers, university stakeholders, investors, and international education partners to explore opportunities for expanding cross-border higher education collaborations.

Representing the Biaka Group were the Vice President, the ombudsman and the marketing & communication head, who joined a diverse assembly of academic leaders and education experts from across the globe. The forum served as an important platform for dialogue on strengthening transnational education and fostering partnerships between local institutions and international universities.

Several prestigious universities participated in the gathering, including Edinburgh Napier University, UWE Bristol, DTSI, and St. George’s University. These institutions were joined by other higher education stakeholders from countries such as the United Kingdom, United States, France, and Malaysia, reflecting the global nature of the discussions. Throughout the forum, participants engaged in insightful exchanges on a range of pressing issues shaping the future of higher education. Key discussions focused on the digitalization of education systems, reforms aimed at improving academic quality, the need for clearer and more transparent ranking systems, and the harmonization of regulations governing international academic collaboration. Particular attention was also given to ensuring effective recognition of degrees, certifications, and academic equivalencies across borders, as well as strengthening institutional quality assurance frameworks.

A major highlight of the event was the Deal Room sessions, which facilitated structured Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings between international universities and local higher education institutions. These sessions provided a unique opportunity for institutions to explore concrete areas of cooperation, ranging from academic exchange programs and joint degrees to research partnerships and capacity-building initiatives. For the Biaka Group, participation in the forum represented an important step toward strengthening its international outlook and expanding its network of academic partnerships. Engaging directly with global education leaders allowed the Group to explore new opportunities that could enhance the academic offerings and global relevance of its institutions.

The outcomes of such forums are expected to contribute positively not only to the growth of the Biaka Group but also to the broader development of the university sector in Cameroon. By fostering collaboration, knowledge exchange, and international partnerships, initiatives like the Commonwealth TNE Forum play a crucial role in positioning Cameroonian institutions within the evolving global higher education landscape.
As the Biaka Group continues to pursue excellence in education, research, and innovation, its active participation in international education platforms remains a key driver in advancing its mission of providing globally competitive academic opportunities for students and professionals alike.
