The Office of Co-operation and Innovation at the Biaka University Institute of Buea (BUIB) serves as a vital platform for advancing strategic partnerships, fostering innovation, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration across academic, professional, and community landscapes.
Established to drive BUIB’s vision of becoming a leading institution in higher education and research, the Office is committed to building strong local and international alliances that support academic growth, research excellence, and societal impact. We actively engage with universities, government bodies, private sector actors, NGOs, and development partners to initiate projects and programs that benefit both the university and the wider community.
At the core of our mandate is the promotion of innovation, whether through technology, education, healthcare solutions, or institutional best practices. The Office works closely with various faculties and departments to identify innovative ideas and help transform them into impactful outcomes, while also creating opportunities for student involvement in research, entrepreneurship, and development initiatives.
We coordinate memoranda of understanding (MOUs), oversee collaboration agreements, and facilitate academic exchanges, joint research, conferences, training programs, and innovation-led ventures. Every partnership we cultivate is designed to enhance learning, build capacity, and respond to emerging global challenges.
Through co-operation and innovation, we envision a future where BUIB stands as a model of excellence, relevance, and transformation, locally rooted and globally connected.
