BUIB Holds 19th Senate Meeting to Review and Approve Second Semester Results

The 19th Senate Meeting of the Biaka University Institute of Buea (BUIB) was held on 24 July 2026, bringing together members of the University’s highest academic decision-making body to deliberate on key academic and institutional matters, with particular focus on the review and approval of the Second Semester examination results for the 2025/2026 academic year.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor of BUIB, Dr. Che Mary Lum epse Feh, who led members of Senate through a comprehensive review of students’ academic performance. The session provided an important platform for the University to assess examination outcomes, uphold academic integrity and ensure that results met the institution’s established academic and quality assurance standards.

A major highlight of the meeting was the presentation of the Second Semester examination results by the Directors of the University’s five schools. Each Director presented the academic performance of students within their respective school, providing Senate members with an opportunity to examine the results, deliberate on performance and address relevant academic issues before the results were formally approved.

The deliberations reflected BUIB’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards while ensuring that the evaluation and progression of students are conducted transparently and in accordance with approved academic procedures. Following the presentations and subsequent discussions, the Senate successfully approved the Second Semester results for the 2025/2026 academic year.

Beyond academic results, the Senate meeting also considered updates on the University’s marketing and admissions activities. Members were briefed on ongoing efforts to strengthen the University’s visibility, attract prospective students and improve the admissions process. The updates provided an opportunity to assess current progress and consider strategies for further enhancing BUIB’s recruitment and outreach efforts ahead of the next academic cycle.

The meeting therefore served not only as a platform for academic decision-making but also as an avenue for reviewing broader institutional priorities that contribute to the University’s growth and development. With the approval of the Second Semester results, students look forward to the official publication of their academic outcomes and are encouraged to remain attentive to BUIB’s official communication channels for accurate and timely information regarding the release of the results. The University further reminds students to rely exclusively on its official platforms for announcements concerning their academic performance and other institutional updates.

The successful conclusion of the 19th Senate Meeting underscores BUIB’s continued commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, effective student administration and the continuous improvement of its institutional operations.
