BIAKA GROUP WELCOMES PRISMA JAMES FOUNDATION

The Biaka community welcomed Prisma James, Nigerian-based, Cameroonian-born actor and founder of the Prisma James Foundation, accompanied by renowned Cameroonian music stars Jovi and Reniss, as well as popular content creator Tabaski. The visit highlighted the shared commitment to educational advancement, health awareness and community engagement, reflecting the importance of partnerships in addressing social needs and empowering young people.

Prisma James and her delegation were officially received by the President of the Biaka Group, Dr. Francisca Hongla Biaka; the Vice President, Mr. Lawrence Biaka; and the Vice Chancellor of Biaka University Institute, Dr. Feh Mary. The reception provided an opportunity to strengthen ties around initiatives that promote education, inspire young people and contribute to community development.

During the meeting, Prisma James presented her “Back to Dreams” educational campaign, an initiative of the Prisma James Foundation dedicated to promoting access to education and encouraging individuals to pursue their aspirations through learning. She highlighted the importance of education in opening doors to opportunity, nurturing talent and equipping young people with the knowledge and confidence needed to shape their future.

Following the presentation, Prisma James handed over books and jotters to Dr. Francisca Hongla Biaka. This gesture underscored the Foundation’s commitment to supporting education through the provision of learning materials and promoting a culture of reading and academic development. It also reflected a shared understanding that empowering young people requires both inspiration and practical support to help them achieve their educational goals.

The initiative aligns with Biaka University Institute’s commitment to providing an environment where learning, personal development and the pursuit of excellence remain central to the student experience. The engagement further demonstrated the value of collaboration between educational institutions and organizations working to expand opportunities for young people.

Beyond education, the visit also emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and public awareness. As part of the activities marking Pink October, Prisma James organized an awareness walk from Bongo Square to the Cameroon Wall of Fame. Students of Biaka University Institute joined the initiative, demonstrating their commitment to raising awareness about breast cancer and promoting the importance of early detection. The presence of Jovi, Reniss, Tabaski and other Cameroonian influencers added further visibility to the engagement, illustrating how influential personalities can use their platforms to support meaningful causes and encourage positive social change.

For Biaka, the visit represented an important convergence of education, health advocacy and institutional collaboration. It reinforced the belief that sustainable community development requires collective action, shared responsibility and a commitment to initiatives that improve lives.

Biaka University Institute and the wider Biaka community remain committed to supporting initiatives that advance education, promote healthier communities and create opportunities for future generations. Through partnerships grounded in shared purpose, Biaka continues to champion its mission of empowering individuals and contributing meaningfully to society.
