Where Dreams Take Shape: The BUIB Induction Path

Orientation

Orientation at the Biaka University Institute of Buea (BUIB) is a structured and welcoming exercise designed to help new students smoothly transition into university life. Held at the beginning of each academic year, orientation activities are organized by the university’s administrative and academic teams to introduce freshers to BUIB’s mission, values, academic programs, and support systems.

The orientation typically includes a series of presentations and interactive sessions that cover essential topics such as academic expectations, campus regulations, student services, safety protocols, and available facilities. Students are introduced to key university personnel, including the Vice Chancellor, Deans, Heads of Departments, and support staff.

In addition to academic briefings, the program also emphasizes professional grooming, discipline, and the importance of community values in shaping future leaders. New students are guided on the use of the Learning Management System (LMS), library resources, and procedures related to registration, assessment, and examination ethics.

Through this initiative, BUIB ensures that all entrants are not only academically ready but also culturally and socially integrated into the university community.
