Biaka Group Supports Back-to-School Initiative with Free Medical Services in Bokwai

The Biaka Group, through the Dr. Biaka Memorial Foundation (DBMF), in collaboration with Biaka Hospital, has partnered with Heaven’s Land Initiative and the Bokwai Palace to support a community Back-to-School Initiative held on Saturday, 15 August 2026, at the Bokwai Community Hall. The initiative, themed “Raising Children of Excellence, Character and Faith,” benefited over 200 pupils and students through free holiday classes and the distribution of essential back-to-school didactic materials.

As part of its contribution, the Biaka Group provided free medical services to participants and community members, including HIV, Hepatitis B, malaria and syphilis testing, blood sugar, blood pressure and oxygen saturation checks. Children aged 0–16 years also benefited from free malaria treatment, while mosquito nets were distributed to pregnant women and children aged 0–5 years.

Beyond the medical intervention, the Biaka Group further contributed in cash and kind towards the successful organisation of the initiative.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of the Divisional Officer of Buea, the Chief-designate of Bokwai Village, the Adviser to the President of the Biaka Group, Forces of Law and Order, and a host of other dignitaries, alongside parents, teachers, community leaders and other stakeholders.

The initiative reflects the Biaka Group’s continued commitment to community health, education, child development and social responsibility, particularly in supporting vulnerable communities.
